Who this site is for

This site provides free calculators for UK mortgages, savings, pay and tax, budgeting and debt. Figures are shown in pounds sterling (£) and the tax calculators use UK rules, but the site isn't restricted to UK visitors — anyone can use it. The site is operated from the United Kingdom.

What this site collects

This site does not require you to create an account or submit personal information to use any calculator. Everything you enter — including salaries, tax codes, savings, budgets and debts — is processed in your browser only. It is not sent to or stored on our servers, it is not sent to Google Analytics or any other third party, and it is never added to the page address (URL).

The site uses your browser's own storage in two small ways. It remembers your cookie choice (accept or decline) so the banner doesn't reappear on every page. And when you follow a link from one calculator to another — for example from the Hourly Wage to Salary Calculator to the Take-Home Pay Calculator — the figure being carried over is held briefly in your browser's session storage, read once by the next page and then deleted. Session storage stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab. The Monthly Budget and Debt calculators don't save your figures at all: they're cleared when you leave or reload the page.

Cookies and your consent

This site asks for your consent before setting any analytics cookies — you'll see a banner on your first visit asking you to accept or decline. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, which lets you review and update your choice.

Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and which country or device type they browse from. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics only loads after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, it does not load at all. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to help Google index this site correctly and to monitor its search performance. This is a webmaster tool that relates to how Google's crawler interacts with the site — it does not set cookies on your device or track your individual browsing behaviour.

Advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense on every visit. When you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, you are agreeing to both analytics cookies and personalised advertising — Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and you will see non-personalised ads instead — these are not based on your browsing history, but the ads themselves are still shown either way. You can also opt out of personalised advertising specifically, independent of this site, via Google's Ads Settings. Data we collect and why

We only collect what's needed to run and improve this site: aggregated analytics data (only if you consent, as above), and any email you choose to send us directly. We don't require an account, don't ask for personal or financial details to use the calculators, never receive the figures you type into them, and don't sell or share data with third parties beyond the services described above.

Regulatory status

This site is an independent calculator tool, not a mortgage broker, financial adviser, debt adviser or tax adviser, and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Figures produced by the calculators are estimates for general guidance only — see our terms of use for details.
